- Identify training needs of nursing staff and develop in service education training plans.
- Development of educational programs, presentations and patient education materials: modify and update existing educational programs and patient education materials or recommended notifications as appropriate in co-ordination with the Nursing Superintendent. .
- Conduct a variety of in service orientation programs and educational programs for nursing personnel’s in the organization.
- Conduct nursing induction, safety and other generalized training and ensure completion of orientation as expected.
- Select and organize innovative methods of teaching including, slides, charts and nursing supplies and equipment to demonstrate improved patient care.
- Co-ordinates BLS Training round the year, Test and Retest their knowledge and skills.
- Maintain required departmental records, reports and statistics as appropriate.
- Keep abreast of new developments in training techniques, methods and programs.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of instructional programs. Coordinate educational programs for an assigned service line: serve an internal consultant for specialized clinical instructions.
- Inform and assist Nursing Superintendant on observed areas that need improvement and continuous supervision to ensure safe and quality care to all patients.

- Review current nursing literature and appraise Nursing Superintendant and other stakeholders for change in practices for improving patient satisfaction and safety.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein and as required by Nursing Superintendant.
- Ensure that clinical Instructors are available on units for bedside supervision and teaching and all learning activities result in outcome evidenced as better patient care.
- Ensures continuous assessment and guidance of staff nurses.
